Create Live Kernel Memory Dump in Task Manager

This feature exists with the existing “Memory Dump” for user-mode processes. With the new feature, you can gather data to troubleshoot any abnormal situations alongside normal processes running as usual. To capture a Live Kernel Memory dump (LKD), head over to the Details page in the Task Manager. Right-click on the System process and from the context menu, you will see the “Create Live Kernel Memory Dump” option. Through this, you can start capturing full live kernel or kernel stacks memory dumps. All your dumps will appear in this default location: “%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\TaskManager\LiveKernelDumps.” However, you can also check the Live Kernel Memory dump from the Task Manager Settings page to view/edit the settings.

New Settings Page for USB4

There is a new settings page for USB4 Hubs, which you can access by navigating to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > USB > USB4 Hubs and Devices. These settings will enable new productivity features for docking, high-performance peripherals, display and charging.

You can view the tree of connected USB4 hubs and devices. From here, you can have a quick look at the attributes and capabilities associated with USB4 domains. It also allows you to copy details to the clipboard so you can start sharing them with your customer or system administrator for troubleshooting.

However, if your system doesn’t support it, then the page will not be displayed. To check if your connected device is compatible with USB4 or not, you can head over to Device Manager where you can check for the USB4 Host Router.

Simplified Chinese IME With this update

it’s now easier to type some popular Chinese words in a simplified manner. Changes also come with improved cloud suggestions and integrated search suggestions. In addition, there is a Cloud Suggestion feature that adds more relevant words directly from Bing to the IME and it’s going to be updated on the backend with logic so it can bring better and fresher suggestions. This feature is not enabled by default; users need to manually enable it by turning it on, which will appear on the Chevron button at the right end of the IME candidate window.

Changes and Improvements Apart from this, there are plenty of features and changes that also come as a feature update to Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23419. This includes fixes for the glanceable VPN status over the active network. To use it, you need to be connected to a recognized VPN profile. Also, the second in the cloud comes with the update, which you can enable from the settings by navigating to Windows Settings > Personalization > Taskbar. From there you can change the Taskbar Behavior section. You can also get to these settings by right-clicking on the taskbar.

There are improvements to Voice access and Search on the Taskbar with access to the new Bing. This build also includes new fixes and improvements under the hood.
