Samsung Galaxy S24 Official Render
It appears to be a minor upgrade rather than a major one. The render of the device suggests a slightly larger display and battery. It suggests a flat screen with symmetrical bezels with a central push hole and rounded corners. We now also know it has a flat metal frame with an integrated antenna line.
The build quality of the device: the S24 Ultra will come in titanium black, whereas the S24 and S24 Plus will have aluminium armour 2.0. This year’s device looks identical to the S23 Series. Peak brightness is shown to be 2600 nits.
Galaxy S24 Performance
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (for the Galaxy), featuring overclocked CPU and GPU cores. The S24 and S24 Plus models have 1.5x and 1.6x bigger vapour chambers compared to their predecessors, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 1.9x bigger vapour chamber for improved cooling and performance.
It has new EV battery technology for better battery life, and it runs on One Ui 6.1-based Android 14, featuring a redesigned emoji and a new quick-setting menu.
Galaxy S24 Camera
It uses the same ISOCELL GN3 50MP 1/56″ optical format as the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy S23/23+, indicating the same hardware for almost three years and benefiting from improved processing and easier production. But also offers the same hardware to scale and reduce code while optimising and refining the software and image processing for better image quality without changing the sensor.
Not upgrading the sensor doesn’t mean it’s bad; Samsung probably upgraded the optics and lens. It will support 8K video recording and a 24 MP default image, similar to the iPhone 15 Series, offering more details compared to the previous 12 MP default image. It will improve image processing and allow editing later with Photo Remaster.

The Galaxy S24 camera module is said to be similar to the Galaxy S23 series.

- A 12MP selfie shooter will be supplied by Namuga and MCNEX.
When it comes to improvements, the telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom suggests potential zoom capabilities and incorporates the HP2SX image sensor, which is similar to Xiaomi’s camera module for the 3.2x optical zoom camera. The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 200MP mode optimised by AI that is capable of recognising 12 kinds of objects and offering better image quality.
Galaxy AI
Samsung has filed trademarks for “AI Phone” and “AI Smartphone.” Looking ahead, it has the potential to be a game changer, helping Samsung stand out among the top Android phones. The device is to be exclusively powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which promises to deliver AI capabilities with an AI-supported object-aware engine.
- The camera app will include erasing subjects from videos, optimising image quality for 12 different kinds of objects, improving night mode, and removing shadows and reflections.
- It will offer real-time translation for the messaging app in 35 languages, and during calls, it will be capable of translating in 14 languages.
- It also improves photo editing through generative AI techniques such as erasing subjects from videos.
- For the camera, it will boost low-light performance, reduce graininess, and improve the stability and exposure of video recording.
- Generative AI, Powered by Google’s AI engine, offers generative AI wallpaper, enhanced search capabilities, and auto-formatting capabilities in Samsung notes.
Satellite connectivity
Emergency SOS, approved by the 3GPP standard, queries the user’s situation and transmits data to the emergency centre. With this, they can send emergency texts via satellite connectivity when out of mobile network range.
Colours
It will offer exclusive colours on its official website (e-commerce): Onyx Black, Marble Grey, Cobalt Violet, and Amber Yellow.
Price
The Galaxy S24 Series’ price will remain similar to the S23, ensuring competitiveness by offering more features at the same or lower price.
