Microsoft launched its AI-powered design tool in Public Preview with some new features. Microsoft Designer, which uses OpenAI’s DALL-E 2 model to create designs that you can use to leverage your content creations. It can also be used to generate captions and hashtags relevant to social media posts and create visual content powered by AI.

The company is looking to expand its feature set with additional tools, and you have tools like Replace background, also the ability to place objects in specific spots in graphics and erase. It is available and accessible for everyone and will come to Microsoft 365 Subscription with additional features. Designers can use these images for anything, even for commercializing the image. However, that Sidebar Designer has some limitations, but this Microsoft Designer has features it allows you to generate captions and hashtags to create animation visuals with background and text translation.
This tool suggests layout, images, and colour based on the user’s preference and content. You can also erase and replace the background, enabling users to remove unwanted objects, people, or backdrops from the graphics. These things give users more control over their designs. Microsoft does confirm that it doesn’t generate images from scratch.
Lastly, this could have some legal questions surrounding the AI-powered images, but Microsoft gives users full rights to commercialize any images generated with Microsoft Design. More features are in development and will be available in the coming weeks, like the Fill, Expand Background, Erase, and Replace background are coming.
