Microsoft has invested significantly in the OpenAI project and is now ready to integrate the ChatGPT functionality into its services. Recently, an add-in called GhostWriter was released, allowing users to generate text from a prompt.
Microsoft also announced Team Premium, which includes an AI-powered intelligent recap that automatically generates meeting notes, recommended tasks, and personalised highlights from video calls. It can even divide the recorded meeting into chapters and create transcripts.
This is an excellent quality-of-life improvement. It can also generate action items from the call. It is capable of understanding 40 different languages and can offer real-time live captioning.
Microsoft Teams Professional
Yes, this is a paid version, which costs $10 per month, and Microsoft Teams will continue to add similar features to improve the product. There could be several use-case scenarios, such as if you miss a meeting, you can go through the notes AI has generated for you. It is intelligently organised by who you work closely with, as described by Microsoft, so you can quickly check what your manager or colleague said.
This feature has some potential in terms of how teams can boost productivity. Implementing AI allows you to focus on other essential things. Microsoft will make this public by the end of June. For new users, it will be available for $7 as an initial offering, but later you will have to pay $10 per month.
Apart from this, other new features are not AI-powered, such as personalisation options like adding a company logo, colour, and background according to the requirements you want while setting up the meeting. Therefore, several meeting protections help prevent confidential information from being leaked. This includes watermarking discussions and limiting participants from recording the session.
On the other hand, ChatGPT also introduced a paid version.
