Microsoft has its primary tool to create Windows ISOs called the Windows Media Creation Tool. This is also capable of making bootable USB flash drives. It works great, and it is the recommended option for creating a Windows ISO for a clean Windows installation. However, it does have some limitations, such as the Windows Media Creation Tool only offering limited editions or architecture dependencies.
Even though there are a few more options available to create a Windows ISO and to make a bootable USB flash drive for a clean installation, Rufus allows you to create a Windows 11 Bootable ISO even for unsupported laptops/PCs. It simply downloads the ESD files and then converts them into a ready-to-use ISO package. With this, you can create a bootable USB flash drive for Windows 10 or Windows 11 (x64, x86, or ARM64).

Alongside Windows Home and Pro editions, there are non-mainstream SKUs like Enterprise, Education, or Professional for Workstations. You have options to choose different languages and editions. You might encounter errors proceeding with downloading specific variants, unlike the Microsoft Media Creation tool, it won’t be able to create a bootable drive. This means you need to create a bootable USB drive yourself with the ISO file created by the Oofhours Media Creation Tool. You can simply use WinRar or Rufus to extract the file to a FAT32-formatted USB drive to make it bootable.
To use it, simply launch the Oofhours Media Tool on your desktop and then select the image type by choosing the option from the drop-down menu for Operating system, Architecture, Language, and Edition. Next, you need to configure the settings, where you want to store your ISO file on your PC by selecting the browse option as the destination folder. Once you have selected all, click on Generate and then it will start building you an ISO file. Next, the file will be stored in the destination folder. That’s it. Now you just need to use that ISO to make a bootable USB flash drive.
