WhatsApp is one of the most popular communication applications, and the company is working on another great feature. WABetaInfo reported the new WhatsApp Group settings where the admin will now get another moderation feature.

Recently, WhatsApp has pushed an update where group admins can remove individual chats. With the future update, WhatsApp Group admin enables settings for admin approval to join the group chat. The admin can decide who can join the group, and you can find these settings under Group Settings once it is rolled out.

This is under development; WhatsApp Beta 2.22.18.9 has this feature in-build but has not been enabled. The admin was likely able to view the join request in the same settings once this feature launched. For the join request, the WhatsApp Group admin will receive the new participants’

This makes sense, where we can control who can join the group and help to make the group healthier. Above all, this feature also helps to avoid spam and gives an extra layer of user privacy. They can then patch the mobile number.

WhatsApp has been working hard to improve user privacy and functionality. Not to mention, this also gives power to the admin to cross-check the members across the group and can also verify the chat request depending. These actions seem pretty positive and could significantly affect the group’s functionality.
