How to Use WhatsApp’s HD Photo and Video Sharing Feature

Especially this time, Meta shook the industry by launching Threads by Instagram, where they gave rigid competition to the industry’s king, Twitter.

Additionally, last week, Meta announced the offer of an HD Photo and Video sharing feature, which surprisingly started rolling out. However, since people have yet to learn about it, we will guide you on using these enriched features.

How to Use WhatsApp’s HD Photo and Video Sharing Feature

Sharing high-quality photos and videos has always been a concern for WhatsApp users. Even though we have such a quality messaging app, we still need help with the quality of the media we send. To address this problem, Meta has started rolling out the HD Photo Sharing feature, allowing users to share high-definition (HD) photos through WhatsApp.

A few selected users have already received this feature, and in the coming days, all users will have access to it. Standard Quality refers to 1365 x 2048 pixels resolution, while HD Quality refers to 2000 x 3000 pixels resolution. Although the feature has yet to arrive for every user, Mark Zuckerberg has shared this post showing how to share HD photos or other media. So, let us take a look at how to use it.

Note: As a new addition to WhatsApp, make sure you update your WhatsApp app to the latest version. Also, note that the following steps apply to all media; whether you share a photo or video, the HD function will apply to both.

1. Open the WhatsApp app.
2. Select the person to whom you want to share a photo.
3. Now select the HD Photo/Video.
4. After that, tap on the HD option at the top right corner.
5. Next, choose the photo/video quality between Standard and HD.
6. From there, select the HD option and tap on send.
7. That is it! In this way, you can share HD Photos/Videos on WhatsApp.

Remember that the feature to share HD Media has yet to be released publicly. However, some users have seen such an option after updating their apps. However, alongside this, the HD Video option is yet to come after a few weeks. Moreover, there are likely a few more things to add to the WhatsApp features queue.
