Samsung has its digital assistant, which comes built into Samsung smartphones and other devices. The company has started rolling out a new update that adds functionality that allows users to train Bixby with their voice. This new feature is called Bixby Voice Creator and is available on One UI 5.1. However, whether this will be available on previous versions of One UI 5.1 devices is still being determined.

The update is rolling out in phases, so it may take time to be available to everyone. A similar feature was made available on iOS devices a few months ago, both having a similar way of training your AI. Today, in this article, we will share a guide on how to train Bixby with your own voice.

How to Use Bixby Voice Creator to Train Bixby with Your Voice

Before proceeding, we must ensure the device is charged at least 30%. Here is a guide to follow:

How to Get Bixby Voice Creator

  • Open the device settings.
  • Head over to the Language and Voice Style menu.
  • From there, go to the Create Custom Voice option at the screen’s bottom.
  • Next, you can start creating and adding your voice to Bixby.

How to Create and Add Your Voice to Bixby

  • Open Bixby by long pressing the power button or clicking the app icon.
  • After that, go to Language and Voice Styles. There, you have the option to create a custom voice.
  • Choose Create Custom Voice, which appears at the bottom of the screen, and then tap Create Custom Voice, which will prompt you to download an additional app from the Galaxy Store. After updating, you can return to the Create Custom Voice page with the same actions you have taken.
  • Next, click the Start button and read what you see on your screen. There will be ten different phrases to read, and once it finishes, give it a name to recognise your own.

After uploading your voice, it will process the data in the cloud, and once it finishes, you can set your voice as a Bixby voice. Here are the instructions.

  • Open the device settings.
  • Head over to the Language and Voice Style menu.
  • Choose your custom voice pack from there.
  • Tap on “Set it as the Default Bixby Voice,” and then it will preview the voice.

So, this is how you can set your voice as Bixby’s. But if you do not like the existing voice, you can regenerate it.

Note: Custom Voice is primarily designed for Bixby Text Calls and other text-to-speech features, like reading the weather, answering queries, and keeping track of time.
