Samsung officially launched the modified version of the Galaxy A54 5G as the Galaxy F25 in India, where the device was launched with a 108MP OIS camera and a bigger 6000mAh battery. It comes with a price tag of INR 27,999 (including discounts from selected banks) via Flipkart and Samsung. The phone will receive 4 years of software updates and 5 years of security patches.

How much better is the Galaxy F54 than the Galaxy A54 since both have the Exynos 1380? Check how capable they are.

The performance is not on par with the Snapdragon 778G, despite having the same Exynos chip as the Galaxy A54. The Galaxy F54 performs better than the A54. However, the Galaxy A54 is the costliest mid-range phone Samsung has launched in 2023 in terms of performance, despite having the same Exynos chip inside.

Samsung Galaxy F54 launched in India, promising four generations of OS updates for under Rs 30,000: Specs, price, and availability inside.

The Galaxy A54 was the first smartphone to come with the Exynos 1380 chip, but Samsung couldn’t optimize it enough to impress anyone. Here, the Galaxy F54 performs better than the Galaxy A54 despite the latter being more expensive. The Galaxy A34, which is considerably cheaper and has a somewhat outdated MediaTek chip, ran better than the A54 out of the box.

Users who want a faster and smoother user experience, even after some updates that have improved performance, may find that the Galaxy A54’s price tag is not palatable compared to its predecessor. With these things in mind, the Galaxy A54 is a decent phone but not the best value-for-money option. Consider options like the Galaxy A34 or Pixel 5A.

Samsung Galaxy F54 Key Specifications

The box of the Galaxy F4 includes the Galaxy F54 5G device, a USB Type-C to C cable for charging and data transfer, a SIM ejector tool to help you remove the SIM card tray, and a quick start guide with instructions on how to set up and use your new phone.

Display

It comes with a 6.7” Infinity-O Super AMOLED+ display that is bright even outdoors and has HDR support, although Netflix doesn’t seem to support it yet. The screen has a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has Vision Booster technology to make the display sharp and vibrant, making it smooth and responsive when scrolling through menus or playing games. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch and shatter resistance.

Processor

Under the hood, the device is powered by Samsung’s in-house mid-range processor, the Exynos 1308 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, which is enough for most users. It also has a hybrid microSD card slot to expand the storage. These are enough to handle most tasks for daily usage, including gaming and multitasking, which means that you can run multiple apps at the same time without any lag or slowdown.

class="wp-block-heading">Software

The Galaxy F54 5G runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software out of the box, which is clean and easy to use with a lot of new features and improvements. The device comes with four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.

Camera

The device has a triple rear camera, and both the front and rear cameras support 4K 30fps recording, but rear camera stabilization only works in 1080p. It has a 108MP primary rear-facing camera with OIS to reduce camera shake and 4K video recording at 30fps. Images from the device are sharp and detailed. The primary camera is paired with an 8MP ultrawide-angle lens, which is great for landscape shots or group selfies, and a 2MP macro camera to take close-up photos of small objects.

Features like high-end camera feature like Astrophotography, Fun Mode, Nightgraphy, and Single Take are available. It also features UDIS (EIS), but it is unclear if it is available for 4K resolution. This also helps to reduce camera shake when recording video. As for the front camera, it has a 32MP selfie camera inside a tiny punch-hole on the top edge, but it doesn’t double as a secondary speaker, so the phone has a mono speaker with 4K 30fps video recording that can take sharp and detailed selfies.

Battery and Build

The device is equipped with a 6000mAh battery and supports a 25W fast charging solution. As for the build, it lacks the IP67 rating for dust and water resistance that the Galaxy A54 5G has. However, the device doesn’t have the same level of durability as the Galaxy A54 5G. On the right side of the device, you have your fingerprint scanner and volume rocker, while the hybrid SIM slot is on the left.

Your primary microphone, USB Type-C port, and loudspeaker grills are on the bottom, while the secondary microphone is on the left. The device doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack, and the side has a plastic frame that looks like metal. The device weighs 199 grams.

Connectivity and Sensors

The device does support several 5G bands, and it has a side-mounted fingerprint reader within a power button for authentication. It also has GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The device also has Knox Security.

Colour and Price

It is available in two different colours: Meteor Blue and Stardust Silver. The phone will go on pre-order at 3 PM (local time) in India. The phone is priced at Rs 31,999 for an 8/256GB, but with an introductory offer of Rs 27,999 with selected banks, and can be purchased from Flipkart, Samsung.com, and selected retail stores.

The device is available in India and some other markets. Since Samsung is aggressively launching the price, it is a force to be reckoned with in Samsung’s 2023 mid-range smartphone series. The device seems to have large, high-quality images, a powerful processor, and a long-lasting battery, which makes it a good mid-range smartphone that offers a good balance of features and price, making it a good option for users who are looking for a smartphone with a large display, powerful processor, and plenty of RAM and storage.
