BGMI (Battleground Mobile India) is a version of the popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile, made specifically for India. It was unavailable in the Indian app store for 10 months, but Krafton worked with the Indian government to bring it back while following Indian regulations. The government temporarily allowed the game for a trial period of 3 months and will monitor its safety for users. Krafton has asked players to be responsible and aware of the risk of addiction.

The game’s return is not permanent due to concerns about user harm and addiction. Measures similar to those in China, where players under 18 are restricted, may be implemented if Krafton fails to comply. Fans are excited about the game’s return, but the servers have been down since the announcement of the ban being lifted. Once the servers are back online, players can jump into their favorite island map alone or with a squad. Krafton, the company behind BGMI, has announced important dates for the game’s pre-load and re-release.

Krafton CEO, Sean Hynil Sohn Expressed excitement about the pre-load and thanked authroies and users for their continued support

“We are thrilled to announce that Battlegrounds Mobile India is now available for preload. We are consistently striving to deliver a smooth gameplay experience to our users and are excited to welcome everyone back.”

BGMI Service are going online Soon

Krafton is getting ready to launch its BGMI Server soon, which will allow players to play the game on both Android and iOS. The latest update includes the exact date when the game will be playable again, which is May 29th.

The server accidentally went online on May 22nd, 2023, and players’ accounts and progress will be kept. Players who had already downloaded or installed the game saw a pop-up message when trying to launch it. For now, Krafton has shut down the server to prepare for a re-launch with better and bigger experience.

The update will also include a new map called NUSA. Krafton, the developers, has shared in-game screenshots on the Play Store to give players a preview of the new map, which offers a variety of new locations and challenges. Additionally, the company has launched a new marketing campaign called “India Ki HeartBeat” to showcase the stories of gamers who embody the essence of BGMI as more than just a game.

Pre-download the game

All players, including those who pre-downloaded the game, will need to wait until May 29th to start playing again. New players and iOS users cannot pre-download the game, but they can install the file from May 29th when the servers are accessible. The file size and patch 2.9 are not yet known.
