In China, Oppo recently unveiled the Oppo A58 5G smartphone, featuring an affordable price point and impressive specs such as a 50-megapixel dual camera, HD+ display, and Dimensity 700 chipset. In addition, Oppo has announced the release of the Oppo A58x for the home market, which is positioned as a lower-cost alternative to the A58.
Specifications of the Oppo A58x 5G
The Oppo A58x 5G features a 6.56-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch and 720 x 1612 pixels of HD+ resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 269 ppi. Additionally, the display boasts a brightness of 600 nits, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 90Hz, as well as Panda Glass protection. The phone runs on a combination of Android 12 operating system and ColorOS 12.1.
The Oppo A58x 5G is equipped with the Dimensity 700 chipset, along with 6GB and 8GB options for LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device also features a microSD card slot for additional storage. A 10W charger is available for the phone’s 5,000mAh battery.
The Oppo A58x features an 8-megapixel camera on the front of the device for selfies and video calls, as well as a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back panel, a 2-megapixel portrait lens, and an LED flash on the front panel. The device also includes an integrated fingerprint scanner located on the right edge of the power button.
In terms of connectivity, the A58x features dual SIMs, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, a USB-C port, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device measures 163.8 x 75.1 x 7.99mm and weighs approximately 186 grams. In comparison to the Oppo A58x 5G, the Oppo A58 5G offers a 50-megapixel primary camera and 33W charging. Other than these differences, the two phones have identical specifications.
Price of the Oppo A58x 5G
The Oppo A58x 5G is available in three colors: Breeze Purple, Tranquil Blue, and Star Black. The variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage costs 1,200 Yuan, which is approximately $173.
