The latest flagship killer, the Oneplus 7, has arrived. This is always the most-awaited smartphone. Also, this is a true flagship smartphone from Oneplus. Oneplus packs everything we all wanted as a flagship device, aka flagship killer, because of the price.
The device is almost new in every aspect—design, camera, and display as well. There were a lot of changes, and we were going to cover them all.
Design
Oneplus 7 Pro comes with a glass back design, a matte finish, and a minimal gradient design. Not to mention, it also feels premium in the hands. Similarly to the display, this time Oneplus brought bezels to the display because they used a pop-up camera instead of a waterdrop notch display.
The pop-up camera also works as a face unlocker. To ensure your pop-up camera, Oneplus claims they have tested this mechanism over 300,000 times.
Display
The display has slightly curved edges, which look amazing. No doubt because of the bigger battery and the bigger display. The weight is 206 grams. Moreover, the display is one of the things that is highly appreciated.
It comes with a 6.67-inch fluid-AMOLED display coupled with a QHD+ 561PPI display. A bigger display needs more battery. Here, Oneplus gives you the option to change the resolution using auto or 1080p. This display needs more attention because of its 90-Hz refresh rate, which makes your UI smoother with effects and transitions. Mostly you notice it in the game; it enhances gaming sessions. Here also, you can change the refresh rate from 90Hz to 60Hz. Not only do you experience the display, but also its dual stereo speakers. To ensure your protection, it has an optical fingerprint sensor.
Some smartphones, like the Razer Phone and the Asus Roz, have been used with LCDs. But the Oneplus was a game changer for gaming. It is quite a huge device and coin with a color called Oneplus called Nebula Blue.
Camera
There are major changes in the Oneplus 7 Pro in terms of camera performance. It brings a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP F/1.6 Sony IMX586 primary sensor, an 8MP F/2.6 telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens. There is a flaw in this; the portrait is not as good, which means it’s average.
For recording, it supports 4K at 60 FPS along with 1080p, and both have OIS as well. Talk about the front; it has 16 MP F/2.0, the front-facing camera is pretty good, and it supports EIS. The Intestacy Oneplus pop-up camera automatically turns off while falling.
Hardware and software
We all know that Oneplus always packs the latest and greatest SOC. Well, this time the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, with 6/8/12GB of RAM and UFS 3.0 128/256GB of onboard storage. This is the first device to have UFS 3.0 storage, which means faster read and write speeds and fewer power consumptions.
This device runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based Custom Skin and Oxygen OS 9.5. These skins allow you to do some additional things, which are not done by Google. Like ScreenShot Editor, Gaming Mode, Zen Mode, and Screen Recorder, there are more as well. Still, there is no wireless charging, no headset jack, and no official IP rating for water and dust resistance.
Battery
Oneplus 7 Pro comes with a massive 4000mAh battery and a 30-watt Wap Charger. It can be charged from 0-50% in just 20 minutes. USB Type-C makes everything faster to transfer data.
Price
This is the smartphone from Oneplus, which is the most expensive smartphone. It starts at $670. Base Mode (6GB+128GB) costs $669; Middle Model (8GB+256GB) costs $699; and Top Model (12GB+56GB) costs $749.
Initially, it comes in grey, almond, and neon blue colors. Oneplus smartphones, as they usually don’t cost as much as iPhones and Galaxy smartphones are worth the price. Thanks for being with us. Let us know your opinion in the comment section below. Stay tuned for more updates.
