Microsoft has been leading in Artificial Intelligence with heavy investment into OpenAI ChatGPT. This year, the company released Bing AI in Public Beta. Microsoft already has a mathematical algorithm to help solve math in Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Office. Now, the company is adding another ability to Bing AI ChatBot with support for LaTeX. This will help Bing to type mathematical formulas in LaTeX syntax and will be automatically formatted correctly.
This will help many students and researchers who need to communicate mathematical concepts in chats.
Microsoft has added LaTeX support, which is now available in Bing Chat, to help with mathematics by providing perfect formatting for mathematical formulas.
You can use Bing Chat like this: \begin{equation} a^2 + b^2 = c^2 \end{equation} It will be automatically formatted to $a^2 + b^2 = c^2$, or if you write $E=mc^2$, it will output as E=mc^2. Mathematical formulas in LaTeX syntax will be formatted correctly from now on Bing Chat.
Bing Chat’s support for LaTeX makes it more powerful for students and researchers
This is quite a powerful markup language that Microsoft will now use on Bing to offer so that students and researchers can create mathematical documents. It is among the most widely accepted and used in academia and research. This is surely a significant improvement and a sign that Microsoft is committed to improving Bing Chat. However, it is still under development, and Microsoft will continue improving on this by adding new features and improvements to Bing Chat. Director of Bing Search, Jordin Ribas, announced this functionality, confirming that it is available for everyone using Bing Chat.

It is also quite portable as you can convert your documents into other formats like PDF and HTML or publish them online.
