If you are one of those people and want to use Microsoft Edge on your Chromebook, then yes, even though Microsoft Edge is officially unsupported on ChromeOS, you can still install the Linux version of Microsoft Edge on ChromeOS.

Before downloading and installing Microsoft Edge on ChromeOS, it is essential to note that the performance and experience may be different from on Windows or Mac. The Linux version of Microsoft Edge will be used to make Microsoft Edge work on ChromeOS. The following prerequisites are required:
- Chromebook with Linux enabled
- ChromeOS 8.0 or higher
- Stable internet connectivity
- Administrator access
It’s pretty easy to enable Linux on ChromeBook. To enable, follow the instructions below:
- Open ChromeOS Settings by selecting the Time area and selecting the Setting gear icon.
- Click on the Advanced tab and choose Developer. When it says Linux Development Environment, turn it on.
- Follow the on-screen instructions by providing a username and how much space you want to allocate to Linux to run on your ChromeOS.
Download Microsoft Edge Canary
After enabling Linux for your Chromebook, you now have to download Microsoft Edge from here.
- Open the Microsoft Edge Download page, and find that Microsoft Edge is now available on Linux.
- Choose the Linux (.deb) to download, accept and download.
- Allow the file to download, and then click on it to launch the installation of the Microsoft-edge-stable.
- Click on Install and then on OK.
