The Pixel 6-Series received the Android 13-based custom ROM update from Paranoid Android Team, one of the largest Custom-ROM providers. It brings some useful tweaks and features that geeks will appreciate.
Nevertheless, this is a prebaked version of Topaz13, and the developer frequently responds to feedback and applies hotfixes via OTA. You can try this on your spare device, and We don’t recommend you flash the pre-stable update on your primary device.
This is because Topaz is still very early in development, and it takes some time before it becomes stable. You might also encounter bugs, glitches, and performance instability. However, switching from beta to stable has now become very easy since it now has OTA integrated with the OS.
Before you flash, ensure you have taken a complete backup of your data. Additionally, wipe the device data since it’s recommended to do a clean installation while switching the OS. And to flash it on your device, simply use the fastboot update aospa-topaz-*-image.zip to install the Zip package after rebooting your device to the bootloader.

Thanks to AOSP Developers, it has become very helpful, especially for those who want to experience Android 13 on their devices. Some OEMs either roll back the update or may not update their device. Although it may be difficult to downgrade in some cases, ROMs make it easier to do that. As a result of anti-rollback protection, Google has restricted its devices from downgrading from Android 13 to Android 12.
