We have recently covered that Samsung introduced the Charging Bypass feature with the Galaxy S23 and it has also been rolling out to Galaxy S23 Series. If you don’t know about this feature, then we would like to give you a quick recap here. This feature will allow the device to use direct power from the source instead of charging the battery. It will directly give power to the processor. For this, you need to enable the Game Booster Settings, and with this feature you can actually prevent overheating, improve battery health and get a consistent performance while playing the game.

This could arrive on older devices but Samsung hasn’t confirmed it yet. But with Game Booster and Charging Bypass, your battery doesn’t drain and remains at the same charge level. But for this feature to work, you need at least more than 20% of battery and it can only be activated during gaming sessions.

As we have covered previously, this feature will only work on high-end devices, because of the hardware limitation of low-end smartphones. If you have Samsung Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy A73, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Galaxy S23 Series, they support this functionality. To enable it, we have an in-depth guide with step-by-step instructions mentioned down below.

How to Enable Battery Bypass on Your Galaxy and Foldable Smartphone

Before proceeding, you need to ensure that you have the latest version installed for Game Booster v5.0.03.0 and have a supported device. Check Telegram for latest Modules,

  • First, you need to connect your device with a charging adapter with a 25W USB PD/PPS Charger. For this, your device should support the 25W charger which most Samsung devices do support.
  • After that, launch any game from the Game Launcher app on your device.
  • Now, open the Game Launcher’s More menu to access Game Booster Settings by clicking the Game Booster icon while running the game in the background.
  • Next, there you will see the Pause USB Power Delivery option. Toggle it to enable this.

While this feature is enabled, the device generally gets 15W to 20W of power. This feature isn’t quite comparable to the ASUS ROG Phone which uses battery charging bypass but yes, Samsung devices do help to reduce the heat generated by the charging process.

Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy Tab S8 may support this feature as some people have claimed that. Hopefully, this article was helpful for you and you successfully enabled the Battery Bypass with Game Booster on your device. Thanks for being with us.
