Samsung updates its Good Lock with a newly-developed app, Dropship, which allows users to transfer files to any other device, including Android Phones, Tablets, iPhones/iPads and laptops. You can download the Dropship app for your iPhone from the App Store.

There are plenty of useful modules available for Good Lock. However, for Android and ChromeOS, Samsung already has a similar alternative known as Quick Share or Google’s Nearby Share. It is unique because it doesn’t use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi; instead, it uses the Web to complete the transfer.

It was quite easy to use; choose the files you want to transfer. Once ready, it will create a shareable link and a QR code to access it on another device. On top of it, for privacy concerns, users must enable the timer for how long the file will be available to download. A recipient doesn’t need to log in or do anything; they can download the files with the shareable link or QR code.

With this being a cloud-based application, it is even better since you can access files from cloud storage, such as Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, and Google Photos. Samsung has capped the sharing file limit to 5GB per user per day, and users must log in with their Samsung Account to use DropShip.

Dropship requires Android 13-based OneUI 5.0 or higher to work, and this is compatible with Galaxy Smartphones and tablets. If you want to share heavy files over 5GB, then you can use Nearby Share or QuickShare.

This feature makes file sharing over the cloud more seamless, especially for Samsung users. It is available to download from the Galaxy Store, or you can download it from the button below. This feature is available exclusively in South Korea, and it remains unclear if it will come globally anytime soon.
