Samsung has officially rolled out the final beta for its Android 14-based One UI 6. The update is available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. This update does not bring new features; Samsung has optimized the underlying code to improve performance. All One UI 6 Beta 3 users will receive the update via OTA by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Check for Update. If it is available, tap Download and Install.
The company is also expected to release a stable update starting in November 2023. One UI 6 Beta 9 will have more polish, address all major bugs and fixes, and other feature enhancements. Beta is said to release the update quicker than before releasing the stable update.
Samsung started rolling out the One UI 6 Beta 9 to the Galaxy S23 Series.
This update is said to improve the seamless experience further and is gradually rolling out to regions. Until now, Germany, Poland, the US, South Korea, and the UK have already received the update, and India and Poland have yet to receive it.
The company has also updated some stock apps, including the Weather app. It is now better organized and includes information such as the Air Quality Index, UV Index, Humidity, Wind Speed, Dew Point, Pressure, Visibility, Sunrise to Sunset Info, and Moonset to Moonrise Info.

The update brings the latest stock apps and the October 2023 Android Security patch with One UI 6 Beta 9. The changelog does not mention anything specific, but it improves overall performance and security.

One UI 6 is the latest Android 14-based custom skin for Samsung devices, which brings several improvements that promise to enhance the user experience. At first glance, you will notice the new Quick Panel and several other system-level application improvements, such as Samsung Internet, Gallery, Camera, and many more.
Moreover, the update fixes some issues with Quick Panel, screen rotation, boot encryption, volume key input, and navigation bar gestures to further improve camera stability and performance. Additionally, with the update, some issues may affect certain financial apps, causing problems running six financial apps.
Samsung’s Last Update for One UI 6 Beta
One UI 6 Beta is close to stable, as Beta 9 will likely be the last update before the final inspection. Samsung has not officially shared any timeline for the update; however, moderators indicate that Samsung is close to releasing a stable build.
After this final testing, Samsung is expected to roll out the stable One UI 6 early next month. Although Samsung has mentioned there could be further delays if they find any significant stability issues ahead of the stable release, Samsung’s One UI 6 is the latest skin for Galaxy devices, which is currently in beta. The Galaxy S23 series will be the first to receive it, with plans to expand to more eligible devices.
Samsung’s Next Upgrade: One UI 6.1
Samsung will introduce the x.1 iteration of One UI with the upcoming Galaxy S24 Series next year, rumored to be on January 18. Most devices that receive One UI 6.0 will also receive One UI 6.1. There will also be some new features, similar to when Samsung announced One UI 5.1, where the company introduced AR-Zone, AR-Emoji, Widgets, Samsung Internet, Weather, and more.
Usually, Samsung brings the main upgrade with the latest Android after 4 to 5 months of its introduction. Android 14 QPR1 is said to have a feature that can be used as a webcam. We can expect the same, but Good Lock will also get new features that unlock customization options with LockStar and ClockFace.
