One of the largest food chain companies, Domino’s Pizza, launched its new feature on Apple CarPlay, which allows customers to order food at their nearby Domino’s location. It has all the functionality with Domino’s Pizza, such as Recent Orders, Call to Order, and the ability to track your order status on Apple CarPlay.
This feature makes things easier for customers as it allows them to connect their iPhones with their car’s built-in infotainment system and use certain apps on a simplified iOS-like interface. They can also use features like Audio, Communications, Navigation, Parking, EV Charging, and food ordering like this one.
This is another great alternative to ordering pizza. It will come in handy and solve the problem of using an app on your phone while driving. Apart from this, CarPlay controls allow you to use Siri Voice Control, Touch Screen, or Knobs and buttons in the car. It also supports digital car keys, which allow you to unlock and start your car with your iPhone, making it a smarter and safer way to use your iPhone while driving.
New Apple CarPlay upgrade allows customers to order Domino’s pizza through an app on their car dashboard.
It is currently available in the US and will be rolled out to global regions. However, the Domino’s Pizza app on CarPlay does not allow users to pick toppings. Instead, they must choose from pre-defined or recently placed orders for safety reasons. Suppose you want to customize your order by picking your favorite pizza toppings. In that case, you need to make a call with the Call to Order option through the Domino’s Pizza app on Apple CarPlay.
From the Domino’s Pizza App on CarPlay, you can also check nearby Domino’s locations and track your order with the Domino’s Tracker. Users can download this app for their iPhone and then log in with their Domino’s Pizza account to continue. After that, they can head over to CarPlay to start with tap or call to order. Alternatively, they can place an order at the store listed in their Easy Order or Recent Order, which can be for carryout or delivery, depending on their previous order.
Once you order with Domino’s Pizza on Apple CarPlay in the US with any local store nearby, you can choose pickup or delivery at your convenience. As we mentioned, only selected toppings are labeled as Easy order, which also includes saved Pizza Profiles. Alternatively, you can check out the pizza from your recently placed order. While the Call to Order option only allows you to order a Domino’s pizza from the call.
This is likely the first pizza chain to offer this kind of integration. In the past, Domino’s Pizza also allowed Apple Watch users to order pizza from their watch by texting an emoji and a Zero Click app that allowed you to order pizza at launch. With these features, customers can quickly order food without waiting in a drive-thru line to make an order at a Domino’s Pizza store.

There are a lot of new features to be unveiled for CarPlay at the upcoming Apple 2023 WWDC event in June and the next generation of CarPlay. There are a lot of useful iPhone features and apps that come with CarPlay so that there are fewer distractions you from driving without being a danger to everyone on the road.
CarPlay launched back in 2014, and it rapidly started integration. While it doesn’t work with iPads or iPods, and obviously, CarPlay doesn’t work on Android smartphones.
