Google has already been testing Android 14, which was released earlier this year, and has released Beta 3. Many major OEMs have already started testing Android 14 Beta for their custom skins, and Samsung is also expected to release Android 14 Beta based on One UI 6 in late July. Users will have to wait for One UI 6.0 Beta with the Public Beta Programme, which will allow them to test the new features and changes in Android 14 before the official release.

Currently, the Samsung One UI 6 Beta build is undergoing internal testing ahead of a full-fledged launch in Beta, where the company brings platform stability and may begin sooner rather than later this year. This means that brands can start testing Android 14 on their phones and tablets while developers can start making necessary changes to their apps and implementing new features released with Android 14.
Samsung to Release OneUI 6 Based on Android 14 Between July 17 and July 21,
According to reports, Samsung will announce the Android 14-based One UI 6 Beta in the third week of July. Usually, customers can get the latest version of One UI a few months before the formal launch. Samsung will announce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 at their Samsung Unpacked July 2023 event. There aren’t many reports about the Android 14-based One UI 6, but it has been teased about the Material Design. Also, Android 14 has major improvements in handling background apps.
The Beta will arrive for the Galaxy S23 Series in the third week of July and will be available for other compatible devices in the coming weeks. Since Google has reached its platform stability level, it indicates that Samsung can start launching its beta program. Samsung will likely release One UI 6 by the end of this year.
List of Countries Where UI 6 Beta Will Be Available
The Beta will remain limited to selected regions, which include Asia, Europe, and North America. Samsung will release the firmware with the European model getting firmware with Universal CSC. Two years ago, Samsung unified the CSC for European smartphones, but this time, it is not expected to expand beta market availability.
Invitations will first come to the Galaxy S23 series in at least seven markets, including the United States. The company will reportedly begin the Android 14-based One UI 6 Beta for its flagship smartphone during the first phase. Later, One UI 6 will be rolling out to the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series.

Several Galaxy smartphones and tablets will be compatible with OneUI 6. Additionally, Google will seed Android 14 OS AOSP and a stable update to beta testers in the first week of August. Other OEMs, including OxygenOS 11 and Oppo Find X6, will receive the Android 14 build.
This will enhance and improve the security mechanism of Galaxy devices, along with features like Multi-Profile, Passkeys for Native Apps, Emoji Wallpaper, Native App Lock, and One UI Boot Animation.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Released with One UI 6.0
Companies keep their devices updated with the latest Android version, and the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE is reportedly the first Samsung device with Android 14 and One UI 6.0. It’s not official, but reports suggest the same, and the device will be powered by an Exynos 2200 SoC paired with 128GB and 256GB of storage. Additionally, the device will have a 50 MP rear camera module and much more.
OneUI 6 will implement seamless updates.
In 2022, the device didn’t support the seamless update feature, which caused the device to be on hold for almost 10 to 20 minutes. With One UI 6, Samsung will offer a seamless update feature. Google has already introduced the A/B partition with the latest version of Android 13 and is going further with the participation of Samsung, despite not requiring OEMs to use the A/B partition. Google will enforce the GMS license on Native 13 smartphones by adding virtual A/B support to VRS testing.
This allows the company to install the background necessities for a rapid restart and the forthcoming reboot version’s update mechanism for Android 14 and One UI 6. It is unlikely that Samsung will implement this on existing devices, which would prevent upcoming smartphones from integrating seamlessly with One UI 6 and native Android 14.
Each year, Samsung’s public beta program has been happening earlier and earlier, with the release a couple of weeks ahead of last year. The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta from Samsung opened on August 5. The Beta will be available through the Samsung Member app, where participants need a Samsung Galaxy device compatible with Android 14.
