macOS Ventura 13.4

There is a new update for eligible Macs. This update comes six weeks after the launch of macOS Ventura 13.3. The update can be downloaded for free using the Software Update section of System Settings on your Mac. This update includes several bug fixes, such as an issue with Auto Unlock with Apple Watch, Bluetooth Keyboard, Screen Time, and VoiceOver. It also adds a sports feed in the sidebar of the Apple News app that gives easy access to stories, scores, standings, and more for the teams and leagues you follow. You can also create a My Sports list to track your favorite teams and leagues. Additionally, it introduces a simplified beta installation method for developers and public beta testers. Apple is expected to release macOS 14 in June 2023.

The company is making the process of installing beta software easier for developers and public beta testers. Until now, with previous macOS versions, you had to install the Profile to get beta updates. Now, you can simply toggle on Beta updates in System Settings. However, users do require a valid Apple ID associated with a developer or registered user within the Public Beta program to install macOS Ventura 13.4.

This update is one of the last expected before WWDC and is light on tangible content. Users can also manually update their Mac if they want to install the update sooner. The update follows just two beta cycles and has build number 22F66.

This feature works with MLB Friday night Baseball games and MLS Season Pass matches, and to enable this feature, users can select the grid icon above the timeline and then choose the more matches button.

The update can be downloaded using the Setting app on the Apple TV or automatically if you have an automatic software update turned on.

The update follows a brief beta-testing period and has a build number of 20L563. The device will update automatically within a day or two, depending on the user’s settings.

Multi-view Feature for Apple TV 4K

This is a new feature that allows Apple TV 4K users to watch up to four live sports streams at the same time. It only supports Apple through the Apple TV app on Apple TV 4K that includes Apple’s exclusive MLB Friday Night Baseball matches, or all games streamed as part of the MLS Season pass.

To use this feature, update your Apple TV 4K to the latest version when at least two games are being streamed inside the TV app. The 4×4 grid icon appears in the video player, which you can click on to start a Multi-view session. In the Multi-view Mode, users can arrange a grid of up to four matches that play at the same time, allowing them to easily keep track of multiple concurrent games at once. Hover over a tile to hear that stream’s corresponding audio feed.

Depending on how many streams you have running, the layout of the video tiles changes in two, four, or four-up mode. You can customize the layout to your preference at any time. You can also tap on a tile to expand that game to full screen temporarily. The Multi-view experience is customizable and includes audio control preferences. It is currently only available on Apple TV 4K. It is unclear if Apple plans to make the feature available on other devices in the future.
