Realme smartphones come at an affordable price compared to their competitors. However, the manufacturer bundles several ads, bloatware, and other things on the device to maintain this low price. This annoys users and is frustrating due to unnecessary notifications.
Many low-end smartphones do come with a lot of pre-installed apps on their device (bloatware) to compensate for the low price. Due to this bloatware, it makes the device slower because that bloatware continue to use resources iin the background. Also, if your device is locked to a particular carrier, there will be some pre-installed software on the device that you never use.
You may encounter many issues, like unwanted notifications or ads on your device. But you need to understand that uninstalling these spaces won’t give you additional space because they are part of the system partitions. By doing so, those apps won’t be active, use any resources, send notifications, or appear in the app’s drawer. Therefore, even if you uninstall a system app using these methods, you can still receive the official OTA update from carriers or OEMs.
Today, in this article, we will be sharing a simple and straightforward guide on how to set up your Realme smartphone to get rid of bloatware and notifications, as well as hot free games, hot apps, hot games, and other unnecessary items. Without further ado, let’s take a closer look at this.
What is Universal Android Debloat?
The unwanted pre-installed app called Blotware, or Universal Android Debloater, is an open-source desktop programme to uninstall apps from Android devices. It won’t need root privileges; UAD can be used to debloat non-rooted devices as well. I think it’s the easiest way to remove unwanted applications from an Android device, although there are other ways to uninstall bloatware.
How to uninstall bloatware on Relame devices

- First, enable developer mode. To do this, open Device Settings > About device> Version. Tap x7 times on the build number.
- Afterwards, go to Developer Mode and enable USB Debugging (Device Settings > Additional Settings > USB Debugging).
- Next, download the following:
- Package Name Viewer 2.0 from Google Play Store
- Download Universal Android Debloated from GitHub based on your PC/Desktop preference. For Windows (Click here to download)
- Download Android Debug Bridge (adb) from Google Website
- Connect your Mobile to PC using Cable, During this process keep your device connected and ON.
- After downloading, the first step is to set up ADB. Extract the ADB and then open the “Platform-tool” folder. (Use WinRar)
- Now move the UAD Files to the Platform-Tools folder.
- Type CMD in the address bar of the same window, which will open CMD.
- Type “adb devices” and hit enter. Then your device will prompt you to allow USB debugging.
Hit “allow” to continue on your mobile device when it prompt.
- After it shows your device is connected, it returns a serial number on cmd.
- Next, move the Universal Android Debloated to your Platform Tools folder.
- Launch the UAD, and if it doesn’t find your device, type CMD in the same folder, “Platform-tool.”
- After connecting to UAD, remove the app by selecting the one you want to uninstall.
- For example, search for Fineshell and click “Uninstall” to uninstall the app. Follow the same steps for all other apps. Use the package viewer name to find the app package name, as in UAD, it shows the package name.
- That’s it!
Note: Uninstalling the system application can be dangerous, so please proceed with caution. If something goes wrong, perform a factory reset. But also, if you want to restore a specific package, then choose Uninstalled or Disabled from the drop-down menu and select the package to restore.
How to Remove Smartphone Bloatware Using CMD Without Root Access
Recently, we have seen many players reporting errors with the Universal Android Debloater. Below, we have shared a guide on uninstalling bloatware and unnecessary apps, including Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, and other devices.
- Enable developer mode by navigating to About Phone > Tap x7 times to enable developer mode.
- Next, from the Advance Settings, click on Developer Mode to enable and then enable USB Debugging.
- Connect your smartphone to your computer.
- Download the Android Platform Tool, then extract it.
- Now in the address bar, type cmd and hit enter, which will prompt USB Debugging on mobile. Click on Allow to Grant Access to Modify Devices from PC.
- Once you are on the CMD, check that the device is connected by entering “adb devices,” and then you can start removing or uninstalling the application by using the command.
- By executing these commands: To check the list of apps installed on your device, simply execute “pm list packages -s.”
- Uninstall: pm uninstall –user <user> <package>
- Restore: cmd package install-existing –user <user> <package>
- Disable: pm disable-user –user <user> <package> + pm am force-stop –user <user> <package> + pm clear –user <user> <package>
- Enable: pm enable <package>
- For example, I use the command “pm uninstall -k –user 0 com.heytap.browser” to uninstall Realme/Oppo Browser from my device. Here, “com.heytap.browser” is the package name; all you have to do is replace this with the package that you want to uninstall.
Uninstall unwanted apps.
This is the first step: remove all unwanted apps from your Realme smartphone.
- Open the launcher and long-press the app that you want to remove.
- A pop-up will appear. Tap “Uninstall” and then confirm the prompt asking to uninstall your selected app.
- Tap on “Uninstall”. That’s it!
Disable Hot App, Hot Free Games, and Hot Games from Realme Smartphone
You can disable all of these with just a few simple clicks. All you have to do is open the App Store.
- Launch the App Market app, and then go to your profile at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll down, and you will find “Hot apps and hot games” under Additional Settings.
- Use the toggle switch to disable hot apps and hot games.
However, Realme has a new tactic where it still enables Hot Free Games. To disable this,
- Long press on Hot Free Games and click on the “i” button to open the app info.
- Then, tap on Disable and confirm the disable.
- Next, enter your password to verify your action.
- That’s it!
By disabling Hot Free Games, your internet browser will also go away. We highly recommend users use Google Chrome, or you can also use Samsung Internet Browser, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and Firefox.
Disable App Market Notifications to Get Rid of Unwanted Notifications
- Long-press on App Market, then tap the “i” button to open App Info.
- From there, go to “Manage Notifications” and then toggle to disable app notifications.
- That’s it!
How to Disable Suggestions After Installing an App from the Google Play Store
This is actually annoying. Realme is making its users’ experience annoying. Google has its own security check, and Realme’s is crap. We haven’t heard any reports saying that Realme sent a report about “Realme sharing x number of apps with Google to immediately remove.” To disable that check and suggestion, here is the guide:
- Open Phone Manager and tap on the horizontal triple-dot menu. From there, go to Settings.
- Scroll down to find “Security Checkup for Third-Party Apps.”
- Tap on it and then select “Don’t Allow.”
- We recommend disabling all settings, including Self-Check, Auto Storage Cleanup, Auto Update for Cleanup Rules, Auto Update for Virus Database, and Quick Access from Notification Drawer.
- That’s it!
After doing this, we also recommend that you disable Phone Manager. Here is the guide.
- Long-press on Phone Manager and tap the “i” button to open App Info.
- Next, tap on “Disable” and enter your password.
- That’s it!
This helps your device run more efficiently because these applications continuously run in the background, and since they are unwanted, it doesn’t make sense for them to keep running in the background. It will give you more space and better performance.
