Honor has unveiled the Magic 3 series and Honor X20 5G smartphones. A total of three models are included in the Honor Magic 3 series – Honor Magic 3, Honor Magic 3 Pro, and Honor Magic 3 Pro+. A global launch has taken place for all handsets. In China, Honor X20 5G was released. Honor Magic 3 smartphones support 5G and are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. The Honor X20 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity SoC.

Specifications for Honor Magic 3

It runs on Android 11 and Magic UI 5.0. The phone has a 6.76-inch full-HD+ (1,344×2,772 pixels) OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 456ppi pixel density. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with an Adreno 660 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage.

Honor Magic 3 comes with three rear cameras running in quad-shot mode. Its 50-megapixel primary sensor has an f/1.9 lens, its black-and-white sensor is 64 MP with an f/1.8 lens, and its ultra-wide-angle sensor is 13 MP. Among the camera’s features are up to 10X digital zoom, 4K resolution with electronic image stabilisation (EIS), and multi-lens video. In the front, there is a 13-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 lens for selfies and video calls.

Dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port are available as connectivity options. Onboard sensors include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, e-compass, accelerometer, gravity sensor, and infrared sensor. Additionally, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 162.8×74.9×8.99mm and weighs 203 grams. Honor Magic 3 features a 4,600mAh battery that supports fast charging at 66W. It also supports reverse charging via USB-OTG. The phone is dust and water resistant according to IP54.

Price

Priced at CNY 4,999 for the 8GB + 128GB storage model and at CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 57,300), Honor Magic 3 carries a CNY 4.9999 (roughly Rs. 52,800) MSRP. It is available in Bright Black, Dawn Blue, Glaze White, and Gold.

Honor Magic 3 Pro specifications

There are some upgrades over the vanilla Honor Magic 3 in the Honor Magic 3 Pro. This phone has a similar display, but it is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC. It has a storage capacity of up to 512GB. A fourth sensor is added on the back of the Pro variant, adding to the four on the regular model. In addition, there is a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. There is a 13-megapixel camera on the front, as well as a depth sensor in the pill-shaped cutout.

In addition to the 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging, Honor Magic 3 Pro also supports 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. In addition to those dimensions, it weighs 213 grams and features IP68 dust resistance and water resistance.

Price

Honor’s Magic 3 Pro comes with 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage, for a price of CNY 5,999 (Approx Rs. 68,800). There are also price differences for the 12GB + 256GB storage model (roughly Rs. 72,300) and 12GB + 256GB storage configuration (Approx Rs. 78,000). It is available in Bright Black, Glaze White, and Gold.

The Honor Magic 3 Pro+ has the same specifications as the Pro model, but offers improved cameras. Additionally, the 50-megapixel sensor includes optical image stabilization (OIS), while the 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor is replaced by a 64-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.4 lens. On the back of the Honor Magic 3 Pro+, there is a 50-megapixel sensor and three 64-megapixel sensors. Additionally, the setup features a 3.5X optical zoom, a 10X hybrid zoom, and a 100X digital zoom.

Price

The Honor Magic 3 Pro+ is priced at CNY 7,999 (Approx Rs. 91,800) for the only 12GB + 512GB model that is available in Bright Black and Glaze White colors.

In China, the three models have been released to pre-order, but they have not yet been released globally. The country will begin selling them on August 20.
