Samsung has rolled out a Secure Wifi update, which is responsible for keeping your data safe when you are using the internet and connected to any network. It does this by encrypting internet traffic and blocking tracking apps.

This makes it safe for us to keep browsing the internet even without a public WiFi address. We don’t have to worry about compromising our stuff. However, this is free up to 250 MB per month, and you need to upgrade your plan to extend it and enable it on your device. Here are the following instructions:

Galaxy Device Received Secure Wi-fi V8.4.02.0 Update to keep you safe
  • Open Device Settings and head over to Biometrics and Security.
  • You must scroll down to find Secure Wifi.
  • From there, review the information and then tap on “Continue.”
  • Next, you need to grant the necessary permission and then tap on it to protect yourself from being exposed to the vulnerable internet.
  • Tap on Protect, and that’s it!

You can download the latest version of Secure Wi-Fi here and should activate it to use it if your data is confidential. However, this feature isn’t supported on all Galaxy smartphones, and it’s currently available in selected regions and carriers.

Do note that Secure Wifi is not supported on all networks, and after enabling this, you can tweak it to whitelist the apps from being secured by Secure Wifi to avoid this. After enabling it, you will have an app icon on your home screen and also have the option to erase the personal data and leave when you are done using it.
