Instagram now allows you to make posts with a GIF, and edit Gifts and Reels, Here’s how to do it

During the event, Instagram unveiled three new features that will be released in the coming weeks. GIF comments have already started rolling out. Instagram adds GIF comment support to posts and reels.

Over the past few months, Instagram has added many new features for creators, such as video editing, broadcast channels, lyrics in reels, and other features. In recent weeks, Instagram has focused on making it easier for creators to create content on Instagram.

Instagram is now considering adding three significant features to the app: GIF comments, Instagram gifts, and enhanced editing for reels. We will explain how to access each of these features below.

Comment with GIFs on Posts or Reels

GIFs have become a popular way to express emotions. Previously, there was no way to comment on a GIF. But now, users can comment GIFs on creators’ posts, which lets creators know how much people like their content and guides them accordingly.

This feature will be rolled out gradually across India. If you would like to comment with a GIF, follow these steps:

1. Open the Instagram app.
2. Find the post you want to comment on.
3. Tap the comment icon on the post.
4. Tap the GIF icon next to the text box.
5. Choose a GIF from the library.
6. Tap Post.
7. You can now comment with a GIF on any post or reel.

How to Receive Gifts on Instagram

Instagram is testing a new feature that lets creators earn money directly from fans through gifts. Fans who appreciate a creator can purchase stars and use them to send gifts on Instagram, similar to YouTube’s Super Chat in live sessions. Every month, Instagram will provide creators with a revenue share of 1 cent for every star received from fans. This feature will be available in the coming weeks. Here are the steps to send a gift:

1. Go to the creator’s reel.

3. Tap your Star balance at the top right.
4. Select how many stars you want to add.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to check out.
6. Choose “Gift” and tap “Send.”
7. After you send your gift, you will be notified that the creator has received it.

How to Use Video Editing Features on Instagram

Instagram has added video editing features for creators to edit reels or videos within the app. In the coming weeks, Instagram will add new features, including Speed, Split and Replace. These features will be available on a single screen. Here are the steps to use these updated features:

1. Open the Instagram app.
2. Tap the plus icon to upload a new reel or post.
3. Select the clips you want to edit and post.
4. Use the on-screen features to edit.
