To make the device more customizable and feature-rich, Samsung has Good Lock Modules where you will find the Camera Assistant. This is an advanced feature that helps you manage camera settings according to your preferences. It gives users more control over the camera and allows them to use the Galaxy’s powerful camera module.

With this feature, you can control what you want to prioritize from picture speed, quality, video recording in photo mode, continuous shooting at specific intervals and much more. This has been one of the greatest things for all Galaxy users. So without further ado, let’s get into it.

Samsung Camera Assistant

As mentioned above, you can install this add-on from the Good Lock app on the Life-up page. From there download and install Camera Assistant on your device. From there you can customize options that can be enabled by toggling on the menu.

Auto HDR

With this feature enabled, you will have more detailed images in both dark and bright environments.

Picture Softening

This has been recently introduced. After enabling this feature your pictures will be softer with less texture than normal. To adjust softness you can choose a tone ranging from medium to high according to your preference. If you don’t want this simply disable it to get regular shots.

Auto Lens Switching

The device will automatically pick the best shots based on distance to subject, zoom and lighting. By enabling this feature your device will capture the best shots at the given time for you with the most suitable lens.

Quick Tap Shutter

If you don’t want shutter lag, since the device only captures an image once you lift your finger, but if you prefer an instant shot all you need to do is enable this feature and your photo will be taken immediately as soon as your finger touches the capture button.

Capture Speed

How to Use the Samsung Camera Assistant App

Unlike quick tap shutter where you want speed but if you want better image quality and capture time then you can choose “Prioritize Quality” in Capture Speed or based on your preference. This will definitely affect the speed of taking images. However, you can choose any option like “Prioritize Quality”, “Balance Speed and Quality”, and “Prioritize Speed” according to your preference.

Video Recording in Photo Mode

If you want to capture photos while video recording then you can use this feature. By enabling it, you can touch and hold the shutter button to record video.

Time Multi-Photo Option

By default, the camera takes one photo with timer mode but with this feature enabled, you can choose to continuously shoot at regular shooting intervals without having to tap on the shutter button.

Camera Timeout

You can choose a time between 1, 2, 5 or 10 minutes and then if your camera remains open it will close automatically after the timeout.

class="wp-block-heading">Dim Screen While Recording

We have all faced this issue when recording video. Especially with video recording for a long time our device gets warm. This is because at that time our device consumes a lot of battery but we can reduce screen brightness to reduce battery consumption which ultimately lowers the temperature. With this feature enabled this task is done automatically.

Clean Preview on HDMI Display

By enabling this setting you can view the preview on an HDMI-connected display.
