The Chinese market saw the official unveiling of ZTE’s Axon 30 5G smartphone. Axon 30 5G is ZTE’s third smartphone in the Axon 30 series. It is also the most affordable smartphone in the lineup.

Specification of ZTE’s Axon 30 5G

ZTE Axon 30 5G smartphones sport a 6.92″ FHD+ AMOLED display, which features a 120Hz refresh rate and resolution of FHD+. As a result of the use of an under-display 16MP selfie camera, the front display is free of unsightly notch or hole-punch, enabling users to experience a truly full-screen experience.

ZTE stated that it has made significant strides in resolving technical challenges and with superior front camera visibility, along with improved display performance, as a result of its continuous innovations and upgrades in the company’s six core technologies.

Due to these upgrades and improvements, the ppi count of the display area around the selfie camera has doubled from 200 ppi (in last year’s Axon 20) to 400 ppi this time around.

Also, the new camera under the display is more light-transmissive than its predecessor, which leads to better selfie photos since more light reaches the imaging sensor.

ZTE Axon 30 5G has a rectangular camera island on the rear side that holds a quad-camera setup comprising a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

The ZTE Axon 30 5G is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset along with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There are 4,200mAh of power in the battery, and the phone features 55W fast charging.

ZTE offers the Axon 30 5G in green and black colors. For its 6GB+128GB trim, the Axon 30 5G is priced at just 2,198 Yuan (US$338) in the Chinese market.
