Windows 7 is one of the most popular computer operating systems, and some people are genuinely considering continuing to use Windows 7 on their PCs. There are many valid and legal reasons why you should or want to install Windows 7 on your PC.

Most likely, the school administration still prefers teaching students computers on a Windows 7 desktop. This is because most of the study materials and books still need to be updated to the current version of Windows. Installing Windows 7 on your computer is straightforward, and Microsoft allows you to download the ISO file legally.

Download the Windows 7 SP1 ISO.

The benefit of downloading SP1 is that you don’t need to download and install the update that came before SP1 (Service Pack 1). If you have a genuine product key, then you can download the file.

  • First, open the Windows 7 Download Page.
  • Enter your license key (the OEM key won’t work) and click on Verify
  • Next, choose the language that asks you to choose a 32-bit or 64-bit version.
  • Click on the version you want, and then it will start downloading.

Download Windows 7 using HeiDoc.

If you don’t have a license key, then you can use this software; it also includes the Insider Preview build and regional-specific versions. Since Microsoft ended support for the Media Creation tool, this could be a great alternative.

  • Download HeiDoc and launch it.
  • Next, choose Windows 7 from the right-side panel.
  • From the edition, choose the version you want to download.
  • Click on Confirm, and then choose a language.
  • Choose the 32-bit or 64-bit download version, or copy the link to download in your browser.
  • That’s it!

DOWNLOAD MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7

We have patched and stored these download links on the official Microsoft Server. All of them were from the Service Pack. So, these ISO packs are roughly 5.5GB in size, and you have to choose 32-bit or 64-bit based on your computer configuration. These are the English languages.

Download the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool.

After you finish downloading the ISO file, you can make a bootable drive or burn a DVD based on your preference. Since Microsoft officially ended support for this, you can still download the software from FileHippo and Major Geeks.

Do an NTFS format, and this requires making the drive bootable. Once you download, open it as an administrator and browse the ISO file. Afterward, choose next, and choose the disc you want to make bootable from there.  Alternatively, you can use Refus or Ventory to create a bootable Windows 7 USB drive. Open Refus, and then choose the drive and browse the file with the boot selection option. Click on Start to proceed.

Install the Windows 7 ISO file.

A clean installation will wipe your system files, so keep a backup of your data before installing Windows 7. Insert your Windows 7 bootable drive into your PC, and then open the One Time Boot menu by pressing the Boot Key.

  • Next, choose the external device, which will proceed with Windows 7 installation.
  • Choose your preferred selection from the drop-down menus, and then click Next.
  • After that, click on Install Now, and then check the checkbox for “I accept the license terms.”
  • Now click on Next, and then choose Custom on Install Windows.
  • From there, choose the disc where you want to install Windows.
  • Ensure you have formatted the disc before performing a clean installation.
  • Click on Next, and wait for it to finish the installation.
  • To set up, follow the on-screen instructions, and that’s it!

Note: Support for Windows 7 has ended, and we advise you to download a modern version of Windows. You can download the latest Windows version from here. We don’t recommend downloading from a non-Microsoft source, as third-party downloads may contain threats.
