Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch a new foldable smartphone. A new leak suggests that the Vivo X Flip will feature a Qualcomm last-generation high-end processor.

The information was shared on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo by tipper Digital Chat Station. According to the leak, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new version of its “Flip” smartphone.

In case you are unaware, Sony already has a foldable smartphone called the X Fold. It has a horizontal folding display mounted on a vertical hinge, similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Vivo X Flip is expected to launch with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor.

In the Camera Module, the primary display folds inward, while the secondary display sits on the outside. Samsung has a Galaxy Z Flip 4 model with a clamshell folding screen on a horizontal hinge. In addition to the external display, this model also has an internal display, but it is much smaller and is mostly used for displaying notifications and the time.

Also similar to the Moto Razr series of phones, the Vivo X Flip may have a similar design. The device will also feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC, which is Qualcomm’s 2022 flagship processor. At the moment, that is all the information we have, so stay tuned for more updates.
