In the Indian market, Xiaomi has finally unveiled its highly anticipated Redmi Note 12 series, which includes three smartphone models: the Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+. The Redmi Note 12 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 4th Gen processor.

Specification of Redmi Note 12

It features a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display on the front with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits of peak brightness, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4th Gen processor along with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. In addition to running Android 12, the Note 12 5G comes with MIUI 13 out of the box, which is based on the Android 12 operating system

In contrast to the Chinese model’s dual camera setup, the Redmi Note 12 5G has a triple camera system on the back consisting of a 48 megapixel primary sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and an additional 2 megapixel camera. The front has an 8 megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 33W rapid charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, an IP53 rating, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a slim 7.9mm thickness, and a hybrid SIM card slot that allows for memory expansion up to 1TB through a microSD card.

Price of Redmi Note 12

The 4GB + 128GB variant of the Note 12 costs 16,499 INR (around 199 US dollars), while the 6GB + 128GB model costs 18,499 INR (roughly 223 US dollars). The Note 12 5G will be offered in three color options: Matte Black, Mystique Blue (which changes slightly in hue depending on the light), and Frosted Green. Xiaomi officially introduced the Redmi Note 12 series on January 5, 2023. Initial sales will begin on January 11, 2023 at 12 p.m.
