OnePlus announced OxygenOS 12 for the OnePlus 8 Series last month, whereas before rolling out a stable update to the device OnePlus rollout the Beta to ensure the stability of the OS. Here it brings a lot of new features which include always-on Display alongside the June 2021 Security patch.

How to Join OxygenOS 12 Beta on OnePlus 8 Series

Before proceeding, you should know that, it’s an early-stage OnePlus OS 12 Build so you might experience bugs, freezes, battery-draining, and much more. Also, this update weighs around 139 MB, so without further ado, here is the guide.

  • Open Device Settings
  • Head over to System
  • Tap on ‘System Update.
  • Choose a Trail Version or Beta.
  • Sign-up and agree with T&C
  • That’s it

Once you register for Beta you will receive an update. Alternatively, you can use the Local Upgrade method if you don’t want to wait.

  • Download the Package and Ensure you have downloaded the correct file
  • After that Open your device settings and then go to Local Upgrades
  • Now, choose the .Zip Files and then Tap on the ‘install’ button to confirm.
  • Wait for it to finish, the device will reboot in a couple of seconds
  • That’s it!

Noteworthy

  • If you are already running Open Beta, you don’t have to sign-up again.
  • Beta Installation will wipe all your data and cache.
  • You will not receive stable OTAs after receiving Open BETA OTAs.
