Which means it provides better performance and is energy efficient. Under the hood, the Kirin 980 has a dual NPU (Neural Processing Unit), which is used for both methodical and logical elements. While it was helpful in natural language processing and rendering video in real time.

The Mate 20 features a triple camera, which is inspired by sports cars. The device has been more bezel-less, and it has an 88.07 screen-to-body ratio with a Tiny Dewdrop Notch on top of the display. The Mate 20 comes with a 6.35-inch Full HD+ 2,160 x 1,080 resolution LCD with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio, while the Mate 20 Pro has a Quad HD+ 3,120 x 1,440 resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

To expand storage, it has a nano-memory card slot that easily fits into the SIM slot. The device has a hyper-optical pattern that is used to form an easy grip, durability, and fingerprint resistance, which is a major issue with the glass-back body of the smartphone.

It also has a massive battery of 4200 mAh for the Mate 20 Pro and 4000 mAh for the Mate 20. It also offers reverse wireless charging, which allows wireless charging of other phones and their accessories. Which has been wireless reverse charging and Qualcomm Quick Charging Support.

These devices come with IP68 water and dust resistance. The Mate 20 Pro has a triple camera setup of a 40 MP standard lens with an F/1.8, a 20 MP ultra-wide range lens with an f/2.2, and an 8 MP telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture with OIS support. The Mate 20 has a significant downgrade with a 12MP primary camera sensor with an F/1.8, 16MP wide-angle lens, and an F/2.2 and 8MP telephoto sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and OIS support, while also including a flash on the top of the smartphone. With the help of AI, it was able to recognise over 1500 images from the lens, including the flash at the top of the smartphone.

It has a 24 MP front-facing selfie shooter with a dot projector. Alongside, it also has a fingerprint scanner for backup and many other sensors to help secure face unlocks. The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie with its custom UI, EMUI 9, on top of Android. Huawei still has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will come in five colour options: pink gold, midnight blue, emerald green, Twilight, and ACK. The Twilight version has been the most attractive device.
