If you use Telegram to chat with friends and colleagues, it lets you schedule voice chats through the Telegram app.
As a social network, Telegram has included voice calling for years, and it is one of the features that people are used to. Yet, Telegram has managed to take this feature to the next level by allowing its users to schedule it. If you want your coworkers to be ready for a meeting at a specific time, then this can be useful for you.
Currently, this feature is only available for groups and channels. We’ll show you how to schedule voice chats on Telegram using your iPhone or iPad if you’re interested in testing it out.

Make sure you have the latest version of Telegram before getting started. If you’re a member of a group or channel, you must be an admin. Follow these steps if you believe you meet these requirements:
- Open the Telegram app on your iPhone or iPad and go to the group or channel where you wish to schedule a voice chat. Click on the group name at the top to continue.
- You can now choose “Voice Chat” as shown below.
- Choose “Schedule Voice Chat” from the context menu that appears.
- When you select this option, you can set the date and time for the scheduled audio chat by clicking on the following menu item.
- During the countdown, you’ll see a colorful display. You will still see the countdown at the top of your group chat if you exit this menu. Nevertheless, you have additional options here. Click on the triple-dot icon.
- You can modify the name of your scheduled voice chat here. It can be called a “meeting” or anything else you like. If you decide to cancel the voice chat, tap on “Abort Voice Chat”.
- You’ll see a confirmation pop-up now. When you select “Abort,” the call will be confirmed and canceled. To end the call, you can press the Leave button.
That’s all you need to know about scheduling voice chats in Telegram. It’s pretty straightforward, isn’t it?
Even if you have scheduled a voice chat, you will still see a “Start Now” button to override the scheduled time and begin the voice chat immediately. The scheduled voice chat can only be changed by admins, so keep that in mind.
