Thanks to the release of 2.0, gamers can now use one account to play across all platforms in Genshin Impact. It’s pretty easy to get cross-save working between mobile and PC, however, people who want to have their account work between PC and PlayStation have a few more steps to take.

It’s understandable if you’re confused about how to cross-save in Genshin Impact between PlayStation and PC. In addition to being a mess, the process also depends on the direction of transferring your save. You can play Genshin Impact from your desk or your couch by syncing your PlayStation and PC saves.

Genshin Impact cross-play: PS4 to PC

Before you link your PSN save to a miHoYo account, you should make sure of a few things. To register, you need an email that hasn’t been used to create a miHoYo account previously. Due to the way Genshin Impact manages PlayStation saves, your PSN email cannot already be associated with a miHoYo account.

Here’s how to set it up if you don’t already have an email associated with your miHoYo account:

  •  Play Genshin Impact on your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5.
  •  Click on Account, then Settings, then User Center. Click on Link Account.
  •  To create a miHoYo account, enter your email address and link your PSN account.

PS4 and PC cross-save for Genshin Impact

You can cross-save from PC to PS4, but make sure your console doesn’t already have a save file. How to do it:

  •  Genshin Impact is now available on PlayStation 4 and 5. Install and launch it.
  •  You can connect your miHoYo account to PSN by following the instructions on the pop-up screen.
  •  Now your PC save should appear on your PS4 or PS5.
