EA launched its EA Apps, which will replace the Origin Platform after two years of the announcement. It offers a better gaming experience with faster, more reliable, and more streamlined features, including automatic game downloads and background updates. EA App, a new desktop client for PCs, continues to focus on social games and allows players to import players from PCs and consoles. While switching to the new EA Desktop client, all your existing games, local and cloud save, and friends will get an automatic transfer from Origin.
Currently, it’s only available for Windows Desktop, while macOS still needs to use Origin. macOS players will soon receive the update, but EA doesn’t share any timeline. The app finishes its beta testing and polishes the app to have a stable experience across the board. Players don’t need to re-download or purchase their Origin games; if some DLC or other content disappears, you can contact EA to resolve the issue. Everything will be carried over when you log in to the EA Games.
It supports Windows 7 or higher and has a 64-bit PC configuration. This app will replace the Origin platform; if you have the Origin app installed on your PC, then after the EA App installation, Origin will be installed automatically to avoid conflicts. It is available to download, and Origin users will soon be invited to switch to EA Game. All your friends and content will be transferred to EA Apps. EA has already rebranded its Origin access server, and now EA Desktop is all set to replace Origin.
Through this app, EA will not charge any extra amount since 100% of the revenue directly goes to Electronic Games. While other platforms like Steam take some percentage to cut.
