How to Remove MIUI Ads in Xiaomi/Mi/Redmi Devices-Quick Guide

MSA App

MSA stands for MIUI System Ads. It’s hidden under “Authorization & Revocation” instead of “Apps & System.” This Xiaomi/Redmi device will no longer display advertisements for the default apps, which include the browser, security, and other system apps. Xiaomi uses a user’s data to show ads on Xiaomi devices. Check out how you can disbale it.

Before performing, We need to disable the interent usages for the MSA app. Once you restrict the data usage you can disbale the MSA app. For this follow the guide mentioned down below.

Disbale the Mobile internet and background connection for the MSA app

Open the Security app, and head over to the Data usage.
Go to Restrict data usages, and scroll down to bottom to extend the app list.
Tap on the system apps and there disable the MSA by unchecking the.
Revert back, and then do disbale the data usages for the Wi-Fi by following the same action.
Next, Revert back and tap on the triple-dot menu appear on the upper-right corner of the app.

Revoke the MSA from authorization.

Open the device settings, and head over to Password and Security.

Scroll down to find the MSA. Once you find it, toggle the button to disbale the MSA.

You have to continue with the following steps. Disabling MSA standalone doesn’t help you get rid of ads in MIUI. You also need to manually disable ads from Mi apps.

Disabling Ad Service and Ad Targeting
