Netflix is one of the most popular streaming services globally. Users can create custom profiles based on their preferences so that they can enjoy customization according to their preferences. Users can make up to five profiles, and each will have its own recommendations and viewing history.

However, when creating a new profile, Netflix doesn’t offer the option to use a custom profile. Typically, users choose from a set of available templates. But you can set up any custom Netflix profile you want. Without further ado, let’s get into this.

How to Set Up a Custom Netflix Profile Picture on a Profile

Netflix does not allow users to upload and use their images as profile pictures. However, there is an alternative method. To do this, users need to use Custom Profile Picture for Netflix, which allows users to select any image as their Netflix profile picture.

On Netflix, how to use a custom profile picture
  • Download and install the Custom Profile Picture for Netflix in your browser.
  • Open the extension in the browser’s upper-right corner.
  • From the list of platforms, choose the one for which you want to apply for a profile.
  • You will be redirected to your Netflix homepage, asking you to choose a profile from the drop-down menu.
  • After selecting the profile, click on the “Upload Custom Profile Photo” option.
  • Browse the image in your file manager, select it, and click the “Open” button.
  • Adjust your profile picture’s position to your preference.
  • Close the extension after applying the profile picture.

Note: This extension does not update the profile picture on the primary Netflix platform but only on the browser where it is installed. Only.jpeg files less than 5 MB in size are allowed.

As we have mentioned, this can only be done by using an extension within the browser. It will not work on other devices. Similarly, there is no option to apply a custom profile picture to Netflix, which does not work in the native application. If you want to do this on a smart TV, you can use Google Chrome. Finally, it is impossible to do this on mobile devices or in the native Netflix app.
