Battleground Mobile India has gone live with the 2.6 update, and it is available for both Android and iOS devices. This game was banned in India since July 22, and Krafton announced the game’s comeback on its social media and through its website. The game has relaunched in India. The government of India has said that BGMI will only be back for three months. During these months, the government will monitor the game closely before deciding on the title.
The purpose of this trial by MeitY is to ensure that the game has made the required changes to adhere to Indian rules and regulations. However, an NGO has accused BGMI of still receiving funding from a Chinese app. Krafton developed BGMI for Indian gamers after the Indian government banned PUBG and some other Chinese apps for security concerns.

What’s New in Battlegrounds Mobile India Version 2.5
The update comes with BGMI 2.5, which features refined gaming experience and a new 1×1 map named Nusa, which is the smallest one to date. This small new map is based on a remote tropical island and includes features like Zipliners, gameplay features like Zorb balls, combustible buildings, and much more.
Gameplay & Experience
Nusak is the smallest map added to the game, measuring 1×1 and offering fast-paced matches with shorter duration, often lasting only 8 minutes. The Livik map also gets improvements with visually enhanced waterfalls and better textures, as well as the addition of the NeoStead2000 shotgun. Supply shops have been added to Sanhok, Vikendi, and Miramar maps to enhance gameplay dynamics. Lastly, monster trucks have been added to Miramar, providing players with a new way to travel around the map and an exhilarating experience.
- Tactical Crossbow: It can be used to fire fire arrows and used to restore Ziplines and set certain houses ablaze.
- Off-road ATV: It’s a new two-seater vehicle option.
- Unique attractions: Such as Zorb balls, swimming pool, combustible buildings, and destructible jars along with unique attractions.
- Super Recall: This allows players to recall fallen teammates within a specific timeframe and receive random weapons previously carried by surviving teammates.
- Improved Throwable items: Throwable items and glass windows are no longer shattered by thrown objects.
The game was unbanned after 10 months, and to celebrate the return of the game in India, there are new events and rewards including free cosmetics, rename cards, and other informative items. There are several things that come with the updates, and the events will be live until 26 June (UTC + 0). Players need to complete tasks to collect Return Points and combine them to get the rewards available in the event.
- Super Recall: This feature is for squadrons that allows team members to be recalled with any random weapon. Solo players can be recalled automatically.
- Tactical Crossbows: Restore Ziplines and Fire arrows that can set certain buildings on fire.
- New ATV model: The game has a new ATV model for players to ride.
- Special 7-Day Login Event: Krafton has introduced a seven-day login event.
- 15-Day Progressive Race to the Top in Battlegrounds Event: This is another event that will unlock a permanent Pink-grade Badlands Punk outfit for you.

New Rules: BGMI PlayTime Restrictions
As we mentioned the game is under 90-days observation period by Government of India, and to ensure company is following all the Indian Rules & Regulation there are sever implementation to the game.
- Maximum Playtime of 3 Hours per day for Player under 18 Years old, Parental Verification, and Spending Limit.
- Players above age 18 only allow maximum of 6 Hours of Gameplay per day.
