Apple released another update to the Developer Preview, iOS 16.2, bringing some new features and improvements. Preparations are underway for the release of iOS 16’s end-of-month update. They first launched the public update in September, later updated to 16.2 on Oct 24, bringing iCloud Share Photo Library and other features. 

IOS 16.2 officially supports the Freeform collaboration app and push update improvements to the Home app. Under the hood, Apple is also working with the New Custom Accessibility mode, improving the iPhone and iPad experience.

All Beta Profile users can download the latest beta and upgrade to the latest version. IOS 16.2 Stable update is scheduled to be released by the end of this year. Some developer updates may not appear in the next version of iOS, but fine-tuning may make them possible later.

  • Open the Apple Beta/Dev page and log in. 
  • From there, enroll your device, and then visit beta.apple.com on your iOS device. 
  • The supported device can download and install the Beta Configuration. 
  • Download, and then you might need to enable it from the device profile. 
  • Navigate to General and scroll down to find VPN and Device management; tap on the IOS 16 profile. 
  • That’s it. Head over to Device Settings and, under General, check for Software Update. 
  • That’s it!
