After Jio, Another Indian telecom company, airtel, launched its Public BETA 5G service in 8 different cities, which includes Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi.
You don’t need a new sim or need to recharge 5G service immediately comes into effect on your existing plan. There is no traffic for 5G, and users can enjoy 5G service on plan accordingly. 4G seamlessly work on both 5G network.
Airtel 5G is expected to be 30x faster than 4G and will have a better voice experience and faster call connection. Users need to have a 5G smartphone, and if your device doesn’t support 5G connectivity, then your device might don’t have proper bands. Or your device manufacturer may roll out an update to unlock 5G capabilities for your device.
Whereas, Manufactures like Apple and Samsung didn’t confirm if they would roll out software updates to use the same. The majority of Airtel 5G Plus users will have 600 megabits per second speed in 5G, whereas Jio offers 1Gbps thanks to the SA network.
Although VI is also preparing for the 5G rollout quite imminent, BSNL is also working on its 5G network to cover more than 200 Cities in the next six months. In comparison, Airtel is expected to launch 5G connectivity in all metros by the end of this year and cover almost major cities by the end of next year.
