NASA recently made history with its Parket Solar Problem by capturing the most detailed picture of the Sun’s celestial upper atoms. Not to mention that, like other Rocky Planets, it is more difficult for spacecraft to land on the Sun’s surface.

Humankind first captured the image of the sun way back in 1845 by the Daguerrotype using antediluvian-based photography. Now you can download the best picture of the sun ever captured by the Solar Orbiter Satellite on March 7th, 2022.

This was a joint operation between the European Space Agency (ESA) and NASA. To capture this high-resolution image using a combination of Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUI) and Spectral Imagining of the Coronal Environment (SPICE) Sensor.

According to ESA, the Solar Orbiter Satellite is eligible to capture the highest-resolution of the sun, and it’s the first of its kind in 50 years. The satellite was able to capture more than 83 million pixels (9,148 x 9,112 pixels). Whereas an 8K monitor consists of 7,680 x 4,320 pixels, which means that’s having more pixels to fit in.

The process of capturing the image of the sun is more complex because it was captured from 85 million miles away. Also, this image was combined with the total of 25 individual images. whereas it takes about 10 minutes to process a single image and takes 4 hours to process an entire image.

To support 33 million pixels (8K display), you need a commercially available display. More images will be available in the future since the Solar Orbiter will continue to serve its duty.
